The Ogden Bulldogs faced a tough challenge in district play Friday, September 19, falling to West Marshall, 49-6, in Ogden.
West Marshall scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters and added 7 more in the fourth, while Ogden’s lone score came late in the game on a rushing touchdown by Carson Lloyd.
Quarterbacks CeJay Jones and Carson Lloyd combined for 116 passing yards, with Jones going 8-for-21 for 57 yards, and Lloyd 6-for-9 for 59 yards.
Lloyd also led the ground game with 25 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Jackson Klith added 11 yards on 6 carries.
In the air, Brody Burdette had 2 receptions for 29 yards, Weston Sundell caught 3 passes for 21 yards, and Aidyn Fitzimmons, Nate Swisher, and Brayden Miller each contributed multiple receptions.
For the defense, Landon Alexander led the team with 8.5 tackles.
Ryder Eklund added 6.5 tackles and an interception.
Cayden Dudley had 5 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and a fumble recovery.
Dillon Moe and Carson Muggenburg each contributed multiple tackles for loss.
West Marshall is now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the district.
Ogden (2-2 overall, 0-1 district) will look to regroup and rally on Homecoming Night, when they host West Central Valley (2-2 overall, 1-0 district) on Friday, September 26, with kickoff at 7 p.m. at Ogden High School.
The game will be broadcast live on KWBG FM 101.5 and AM 1590, with pregame coverage starting at 6:15 p.m., led by sports director Ryan Wendt.
