
The Ogden girls track and field team launched their 2026 season Tuesday, March 10, at the Dickinson Relays inside the UNI‑Dome at Cedar Falls.
Middle distance events
Sophomore Dakota Jones ran a 2:34.54 in the 800-meter run and finished in 12th place while fellow sophomore Addison Hunziker recorded a 2:50.29.
In the 400-meter dash, junior Sophie Seligman led Ogden with a time of 1:09.43 for 82nd place, with freshmen Ella Anderson (1:10.92) and Layla Wells (1:11.39) finishing close behind.
Sprint events
In the 60-meter hurdles, junior Alena Wilson ran a 10.59 for 42nd place.
Sophomore Madysen Benjamin added a10.84, and senior Aubrey Leonard had an 11.22.
Wilson also ran the 200 meter-dash, clocking a 28.69 for 42nd place, while sophomore Trinity Stoneburner (29.91) and freshman Emmalyn Strouse (32.32) also competed for the Bulldogs.
Leonard led Ogden’s sprinters in the 60‑meter dash, finishing in 8.99 for 125th place.
Freshmen Mia Morgan (9.50) and Kenzie Banks (9.84) rounded out Ogden’s sprint trio.
Field events
In the long jump, Wilson delivered a leap of 14’6.75”, while sophomore Paysen Graden and junior Brylie Hicks each added matching 13’ 3.5” jumps.
In the high jump, sophomore Sidney Crane cleared 4’4”.
In the shot put, freshman Gretta Gannon had a throw of 25’0.5”.
Junior Macy Bristle (24’11.75”) and freshman Kinley Hare (21’3.5”) also competed.
Relay events
In the 4×800 relay, Stoneburner, Jones, Ella Fisher and Seligman combined for a 10:56.54 and finished in 16th place.
Finally, the Bulldogs’ 4×200 relay — Graden, Grace Christensen, Wells and Anderson — ran a 2:02.25.
The girls next compete Friday, March 13, at the 2026 IATC Indoor Championships at the Leid Recreation Center on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames.
