
The Ogden girls’ wrestling team put together a strong night on the mat Tuesday, January 6, winning two of their three duals at the North Polk Quad in Alleman.
The Bulldogs battled Carlisle, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, and the host Comets, earning victories over GHV and North Polk while falling to Carlisle.
Carlisle 50, Ogden 26
Ogden opened the night against Carlisle and came away with several good individual performances despite the team loss.
At 100 pounds, Rylin Casey gave Ogden earned a fall in 4:13.
Ogden picked up another win at 110, where Trinity Stoneburner dominated for a 19–1 technical fall in 5:19.
At 130, Jozlyn Wells pinned her opponent in 1:51, and at 190, where Grace Hammer secured a fall in just 1:20.
At 235, Ruby Tasler delivered a strong 8–3 decision to close the dual.
Ogden 54, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura 12
The Bulldogs rebounded in a big way in their second dual of the night, rolling past Garner-Hayfield-Ventura.
Casey got Ogden rolling with a fall at 3:24 at 105.
From there, the Bulldogs took control with wins in 10 of the next 11 weight classes.
Sophie Seligman earned a second-period fall in exactly 2:00 at 125.
Ogden cruised to a 54–12 team victory.
Ogden 43, North Polk 17
The Bulldogs closed the quad with another strong performance, defeating host North Polk behind a mix of pins, decisions, and bonus-point wins.
At 100 pounds, Casey struck early, pinning her opponent in 1:14.
Stoneburner followed with a commanding 14–1 major decision at 110.
Jozlyn Wells scored a pin in just 55 seconds at 130.
Alauna Wells earned a solid 6–0 decision at 135.
Ogden sealed a 43–17 victory.

The Bulldogs will host 28 teams in an invitational Saturday, January 10 at Ogden High School.
