
The Ogden girls’ track and field team participated in the IATC Indoor Championships Friday, March 13, held inside the Lied Recreation Center on the Iowa State University campus in Ames.
Relay events
The Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Aubrey Leonard, Madysen Benjamin, Paysen Graden and Alena Wilson placed 6th in 41.84.
The 4×800 Relay of Trinity Stoneburner, Elyse Fisher, Dakota Jones and Sophie Seligman clocked 10:47.34, also placing 6th.
The 4×400 Relay of Seligman, Wilson, Ella Anderson and Jones ran 4:30.73 to finish 13th.
The Sprint Medley Relay of Graden, Sidney Crane, Grace Christensen and Anderson ran 2:07.93, finishing 16th.
The 4×100 Relay of Leonard, Graden, Benjamin and Stoneburner combined for 55.53, earning 21st.
Sprint events
Leonard finished in 8.88 seconds in prelims in the 60‑meter dash.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Wilson placed 16th in the prelims with a time of 10.27, while Benjamin followed close behind at 10.46, good for 22nd.
Leonard finished in 10.91 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Distance and field events
Jones clocked 2:36.07 in the 800-meter run, placing 14th.
In the high jump, Benjamin had a 12th‑place finish at 4‑05.00.
In the long jump, Wilson placed 15th with a leap of 14‑06.00, while Graden added a jump of 13‑10.00 for 19th.
The Ogden girls and boys next host a scrimmage with Boone, Perry and Woodward-Granger Tuesday, March 24, at Ogden High School.
