
The Ogden boys’ and girls’ golf teams opened the season Monday, April 6, by hosting a triangular at Don Williams Golf Course north of Ogden, facing Des Moines Christian and Woodward‑Granger.
On the boys’ side, Des Moines Christian claimed the team title with a score of 154.
Ogden finished second with a 168, narrowly edging Woodward‑Granger, which placed third at 170.
The Bulldogs were led by senior Jase Coleman, who carded a 38 to pace Ogden’s lineup.
Seniors Coleson Carson and Hunter Mitchels each shot 43, while senior Deacon Mitchels rounded out the varsity scoring with a 45.
The individual medalist honors went to Des Moines Christian’s Parker Osthus, who shot a 37 and defeated Woodward‑Granger’s Andy David in a two‑hole playoff.
David also finished with a 37 to place runner‑up.
In the girls’ competition, Des Moines Christian took first place with a team score of 180.
Woodward‑Granger finished second at 212, followed by Ogden with a 216.
Junior Olivia Coleman led the Bulldogs with a round of 48.
Junior Clara Kruse followed with a 55, senior Maddie Ellis posted a 56, senior Lydia Longhorn shot 57 and junior Sawyer Curry finished with a 72.
Woodward‑Granger’s Mallory Polito earned medalist honors with a score of 42, defeating Des Moines Christian’s Courtney Latham, also at 42, in a two‑hole chip‑off playoff.

The Ogden boys are scheduled to host Roland‑Story at 4 p.m. this afternoon at Don Williams Golf Course.
The Ogden girls were originally scheduled to play against North Polk this afternoon at the Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City, but that meet has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 9, with a 3 p.m. start.
