Ogden opens season with shutout over Perry

The Ogden Bulldogs kicked off their 2025 football season in commanding fashion, blanking the Perry Bluejays 18-0 at home Friday, August 29.

The Ogden Bulldogs kicked off their 2025 football season in commanding fashion, blanking the Perry Bluejays 18-0 at home Friday, August 29. 

After a scoreless first quarter, Ogden put up 10 points to take control of the game.  

The Bulldogs added another 8 points in the third quarter, sealing the win. 

Quarterback CeJay Jones led the offense, completing 27 of 41 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown.  

Cayden Dudley added balance to the attack, rushing for 48 yards on 7 carries and scoring a touchdown. 

The receiving corps led by Treyton Mitchell hauling in 5 catches for 96 yards.  

Keagan Ristvedt was a reliable target, grabbing 12 receptions for 65 yards, while Weston Sundell contributed 6 catches for 45 yards. 

Ogden’s defense created havoc in the backfield.  

Carson Muggenberg was a force, recording 10 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. 

Dudley was equally dominant on defense, tallying 8.5 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks.  

Landon Alexander added 7 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks, while Ryder Ecklund chipped in with 4 tackles and a tackle for loss. 

Dudley and Deacon Mitchels each recovered a fumble.  

Ristvedt added a 12-yard interception to cap off the defensive showcase. 

With the win, Ogden improves to 1-0 and will look to carry momentum into next week’s road matchup against Eagle Grove (1-0) on Friday, September 5.
