Ogden shut out by Manson-Northwest Webster

The Ogden Bulldogs saw their two-game win streak come to an end Friday, September 12, at the Keith Hart Athletic Complex in Manson, falling 15-0 to Manson-Northwest Webster in a non-district battle.

The Ogden Bulldogs saw their two-game win streak come to an end Friday, September 12, at the Keith Hart Athletic Complex in Manson, falling 15-0 to Manson-Northwest Webster in a non-district battle. 

Manson-NW Webster struck early with a rushing touchdown and successful two-point conversion in the first quarter, taking an 8-0 lead that held through halftime.  

In the third quarter, Manson-NW Webster extended their lead with a 41-yard touchdown pass and a successful PAT, making it 15-0 — a score that would hold until the final whistle. 

Ogden quarterback CeJay Jones completed 17 of 33 passes for 85 yards, spreading the ball around to multiple receivers.  

Weston Sundell led the receiving corps with 9 catches for 60 yards, while Brayden Miller added 3 receptions for 21 yards, and Nate Swisher had 2 catches for 7 yards. 

On the ground, Cayden Dudley rushed for 31 yards on 9 carries, and Jackson Kilth added 22 yards on 8 carries. 

Defensively, Landon Alexander was a standout with 10 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss.  

Ryder Ecklund and Dillon Moe each recorded 6 tackles and 4 solo stops, while Carson Muggenberg contributed 5.5 tackles and recovered a fumble.  

Dudley also made an impact on defense with 3.5 tackles and a sack. 

With the loss, Ogden drops to 2-1, while Manson-Northwest Webster improves to 1-2. 

Next up, Ogden returns home to host West Marshall (2-1) on Friday, September 19, at the Ogden High School football field.  

The matchup marks the start of district play for the Bulldogs, who will look to bounce back in front of their home crowd.
