The Ogden softball team wasted no time Tuesday, July 1, scoring 14 runs to defeat Baxter in a non-conference victory at home.
The Bulldogs exploded for seven runs in the first, followed by four in the second and three more in the third, showcasing a relentless offensive attack.
Breaunna Wenger led the charge with 2 hits, including a triple, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and a stolen base.
Harleigh Janssen added 2 hits and a game-high 4 RBIs.
Lauren Mathews, Clara Kruse, and Grace Christensen also contributed with hits and RBIs.
Kruse and Katie Wilcoxson combined in the circle, with Wilcoxson earning the win in relief and striking out four, while Kruse added two strikeouts of her own.
With the win, Ogden improves to 18-11 overall, while Baxter falls to 2-19.
The Bulldogs will travel to face South Central Calhoun (0-16) in another non-conference matchup at 5:30 p.m.
