Ogden teams fall to ACGC, Coon Rapids-Bayard

The Ogden boys’ basketball team dropped a close conference game on the road to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 76-65, on Tuesday, January 28. The day before, the Bulldogs hosted Coon Rapids-Bayard and lost a non-conference contest, 74-50.

The Ogden boys’ basketball team dropped a close conference game on the road to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 76-65, on Tuesday, January 28. 

The day before, the Bulldogs hosted Coon Rapids-Bayard and lost a non-conference contest, 74-50. 

Against the Chargers, Jase Coleman led Ogden with 14 points on 5 of 5 shooting from the field, including 1 of 1 on 3-pointers, and he made 3 of 4 free throws. 

Tanner Rohe contributed 13 points on 6 field goals and 1 3 pointer. 

Brayden Miller was also in double figures with 12 points on 5 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 1 free throw. 

Jordan Benjamin led the team in assists with 4, while Rohe and Brady Van Sickle added 3 each. 

For the Bulldog defense, Van Sickel grabbed 6 rebounds and 2 steals. 

Coleman had 5 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal and Miller added 4 rebounds. 

Earlier in the evening, the Ogden girls’ basketball team fell to ACGC, 78-14 .

Ogden falls to Coon Rapids-Bayard 

Coleman also led the scoring against the Crusaders with 14 points on 7 field goals. 

Benjamin had 12 points on 5 field goals and 2 3-pointers, while Miller added 9 points on 4 field goals and 1 3-pointer. 

Rohe and Kegan Ristvedt had 2 assists each. 

Rohe, Coleman and Nate Swisher all had 3 rebounds for Ogden. 

Earlier in the evening, the Ogden girls’ basketball teams lost to Coon Rapids-Bayard, 44-13. 

The Ogden girls are 1-16 overall and 0-11 in the conference. 

The Ogden boys are 6-40 overall and 4-7 in the conference. 

The Bulldogs will host Des Moines Christian (11-5, 6-3 boys, 14-3, 10-0 girls) in a doubleheader with the girls’ game at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game at 7:45 Friday, January 31.
