The Ogden Bulldogs opened the West Central Activities Conference Tournament with a strong win over Madrid before falling to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center in their second match on Monday at Des Moines Christian High School.
In their first match, Ogden swept Madrid 2-0.
Ella Anderson led the offense with 17 assists, setting up Macy Bristle, who delivered 5 kills.
Sydney Craighton added 3 blocks at the net.
Aubrey Leonard anchored the back row with 13 digs and a perfect 10-for-10 serving performance, including 3 aces.
The Bulldogs served at an impressive 98 percent as a team.
Ogden’s second match of the day came against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, where the Bulldogs fell 0-2.
No individual stats were available for that contest.
Ogden now sits at 16-13 overall and looks to bounce back as the tournament continues.
The Bulldogs return to Des Moines Christian this afternoon to face Earlham (17-13) at 4:30 p.m. in Day 2 of the WCAC Tournament.
