Ogden volleyball sweeps West Central Valley

The Ogden Bulldogs wrapped up their conference tournament play Tuesday, October 14, with a split in the consolation bracket of the West Central Activities Conference Tournament at Des Moines Christian High School.

The Ogden Bulldogs wrapped up their conference tournament play Tuesday, October 14, with a split in the consolation bracket of the West Central Activities Conference Tournament at Des Moines Christian High School. 

In the opening match, Ogden fell to Earlham in straight sets, 2-0, before sweeping West Central Valley, 2-0.

Ella Anderson led the team with 10 assists, while Olivia Coleman contributed 7 kills and 10 digs.  

Sydney Craighton added 2 blocks, and Macy Bristle chipped in with a serve ace. 

Ogden bounced back in their second match, sweeping West Central Valley 2-0.  

Anderson continued her strong night with 14 assists and 4 digs.  

Bristle led the attack with 6 kills, while Sidney Crane added 2 blocks.  

Aubrey Leonard and Coleman each recorded 4 digs, and Coleman was nearly perfect from the service line, going 11-for-12 with 4 aces. 

With the win, Ogden improves to 17-14 on the season. 

Next up, the Bulldogs will face Earlham (19-15) again in a Class 2A Region 4 quarterfinal on Wednesday, October 22 at Earlham.  

The match will be broadcast live on KWBG FM 101.5, AM 1590, with Sports Director Ryan Wendt on the call.
