Chris Torres, Chief Financial Officer, Boone County Hospital covers the monthly Health Talk program, talking about the financial position for the hospital. Torres says the hospital is in an excellent financial position going into the new fiscal year. He said the goal of having 120-days cash on hand was exceeded. Torres says it’s important to maintain that position due to capital projects and expenditures. He also noted that it’s early, but the recent federal legislation or even state legislation may begin to have an impact in the future and the hospital is in a good position to handle the changes. He also referred back to the recent 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Hospital, about how health care was built and delivered in Boone County, and talked about the discussion for the future. Aired Monday, July 28, 2025.
