Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about the Boone City Council Meeting held May 5th. The Council did take formal action during the meeting to officially make Ondrea Elmquist the new Boone City Administrator. The Council received the audit report from Kevin Houston. The Council also received an update from Holly Stecker, Downtown Boone Mainstreet Director. The Council also approved letting the Farmers Market locate for the season at 628 Story Street. Stines noted that the Council did not take action on bids for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Headworks Improvement Project. Work will now begin to rebid that project. Aired Tuesday, May 06, 2025.
