Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, speaks about the Boone City Council Meeting held Tuesday, due to the Labor Day Holiday. Stines addressed the Council’s decision not to vacate a portion of the alleyway in the 900 Block of 8th Street and look for a possible alternative. The request had been made by Sheffer Enterprises to address their space needs for a planned restaurant at 926 8th Street. The Council also voted to approve an agreement for the demolition of the building at 813 Keeler Street, following a partial collapse of the structure on the alley on August 8th.
