John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling. Roosa visits about some of the work being done to try and extend the life of the Boone County Landfill. Recently, the Boone County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with WHKS Engineering to develop plans, bid and oversee the construction of a force main to move leachate from the landfill to the Boone Wastewater Plant. Roosa also talked about some of the issues that have developed due to the costs of waste being accepted at the landfill. Aired Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

From the Council meeting, a request for a letter of support for a Main Street Challenge Grant Application was approved for Main Street and the Dutch Oven Bakery. The Council also set public hearings for their next meeting on September 2nd (note the change due to the Labor Day Holiday). The Council also approved the construction contract with Shank Constructors from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Headworks Project.
