Torres says the hospital is in an excellent financial position going into the new fiscal year. He said the goal of having 120-days cash on hand was exceeded. Torres says it’s important to maintain that position due to capital projects and expenditures. He also noted that it’s early, but the recent federal legislation or even state legislation may begin to have an impact in the future and the hospital is in a good position to handle the changes.
