BOONE, Iowa—Every fall the Boone Parks Department does their clean-up of the Linwood Park Cemetery. It’s a regular activity and unless there’s snow, it’s always the second Monday in November. That will be the case this year. The cleanup includes the removal of all arrangements from graves. in addition, all vases will be inverted and placed into bases. Anyone wishing to have arrangements in vases after Monday will do so at their own risk. With mild weather expected this weekend, anyone wishing to save an arrangement should do so.
Christmas wreaths may be placed on graves one week prior to Thanksgiving.
