
Patricia Leytham, 82, Boone, Iowa and formerly of Woodbine, Iowa
BOONE, Iowa—Patricia Frances Hike Leytham, age 82, of Boone and formerly of Woodbine passed away, Friday, June 26, 2026, surrounded by her family at home.
Patricia was born August 3, 1943, in Carroll, the daughter of Kenneth and Frieda (Janssen) Hike. She married Melvin O’Tool and to this union were four children, they later divorced. Patricia was united in marriage to Kenny Leytham in March 1991.
She worked for State Farm for 18 years, both in Woodbine and Boone. Patricia was also the librarian at the children’s library in Woodbine for eight years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Good Agers Club at Trinity, the Red Hat Society, and sang with the Sweet Adelines. Patricia enjoyed quilting, making all occasion cards and especially scrapbooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenny; son, Brian O’Tool; brothers, Ray Hike and Paul Hike; sisters, Phyllis Dion and JoAnn Kroeger.
Patricia is survived by three children, Shawn (Raylene) O’Tool of Boone, Joey O’Tool of Boone and Michelle (Jerry) Hanson of Dayton, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Devon O’Tool of Boone; her grandchildren, Jessica O’Tool, Daniel O’Tool, Jacob (Sara) O’Tool, Morgan (Brian) Hawk, Lexee (Austin) Borer and Jaimon Nelson; great- grandchildren, Zane O’Tool, Brynlee O’Tool, Sydney O’Tool, Anna Joy Hawk, Aria Hawk, and Isaiah Hawk, Sophia Hawk, Marcia Borer, Willow Borer, Gracelynn Borer and Henslee Nelson; and her sister, Marilyn (Larry) Jordan of Ogden.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 8,2026, at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 712 12th Street, Boone, with Rev. Jessten Heimer officiating. Immediately following the service, everyone is invited for a luncheon and time of fellowship with the family in the fellowship hall. Inurnment will be Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at the West Lawn Cemetery in Glidden, Iowa.
