BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Area Humane Society Fund Raiser Friday drew a large turn-out to the 7 Oaks Lodge. The fund raiser has quickly become a major event for the Humane Society. Last year $36,000 was raised according to Kio Dettman who appeared on Tuned In on KWBG last Thursday morning. Over 200 items or baskets were made available for the silent auction. The event also include a live auction and a raffle. The exact amount raised has not been made available at this time.
