Boone, Iowa—The Boone City Council took the formal steps to approve the retirement benefits for Captain Kent Peterson of the Boone Fire Department Monday. Peterson began with the department as a volunteer in 1988 and became a full-time Fire Fighter in 1992. Joining the department is Matthew Dietrick. Dietrick has been serving on the Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department and is also a paramedic.
