Boone, Iowa—A power outage Saturday morning affected some 2,100 Alliant Energy customers from Ames, Boone, Jordan and Madrid areas according to a company spokesperson. The cause is being analyzed for possible equipment failure. Alliant Energy crews worked quickly and safely to restore power to all customers within two hours.
