BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works announced this morning that they plan to begin street painting this afternoon. This is the announcement released this morning:
Effective Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m., we will be closing the north bound lane of Story Street, and 50 feet east from all intersections from Mamie Eisenhower Ave. to
Ninth Street. In order for the layout and painting of the new parking stalls all vehicles will need to be moved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; we are
attempting to get the painting completed before the upcoming expected rainfall. Pedestrian access will still be available to all patrons. Please watch for important updates to this project as we are finishing the last step in this process.
