BOONE, Iowa—Volunteers were busy Thursday preparing the Pufferbilly™ Days entertainment center. Many of the food vendors had already begun set for opening on Friday morning. By mid-afternoon, volunteers had moved their attention to the 8th and Story Greenspace for opening ceremonies beginning at 5:30. The First Thursday entertainment will be the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Bushmen, who first performed in Boone in 1965.
