BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works announced Tuesday afternoon that the Union Pacific Railroad is planning some work at a couple of crossings in Boone, possibly beginning on Wednesday. Right now, plans call for work at both Marion and Crawford Streets. However, the exact timing has not yet been determined. When the timing is announced, notices will be sent using the city’s Nixle system. Signup for the Nixle is available on the city’s website.
