Boone received 2.23″ of rain in the last 24 hours. Much cooler air will be in place today and through the end of the week. Showers and a few isolated storms are expected to move into the area this afternoon and then diminish through the evening hours. Clouds will then increase again Friday into Saturday as rain chances return to the state late Friday into Saturday.
