Rodney Campbell

KWBG 05/27/23

BOONE, Iowa—Rodney W. Campbell, 58, of Boone, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at his home in Boone.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 712 12th Street, Boone.

Rod was born in Perry, Iowa, and raised in Boone, Iowa, by his father Keith and his mother Janet (Rector) Campbell along with his sister, Julie (Tim) Shultz and his brother, Russ Campbell.

He graduated from Boone High School and later on, went to trade school for auto body repair. Auto body was a big part of his life and he loved every minute of it. It all started in a small-town body shop called Boone Body where his father and him worked together.

Rod was a well-known guy. He was a proud alumnus of his high school and consistently stayed in touch with people from his past. You could always expect him to be cheering from the sidelines.

Rod was married at the age of 32 to Lisa Staloch and they later became parents to three children, Elise (24), Marcus (23), and Samantha (17) which were his whole life. He loved supporting them as they grew up doing the things they loved and making him proud. Rod was preceded in death by his mother, Janet in 2010.

Rod enjoyed a lot of things in life, including watching his kids’ hobbies, playing golf, fishing, and most of all his best friend, his dog Harley. Rod was always the one to show his real self and he wasn’t afraid to be a little goofy. He enjoyed cracking jokes to make people laugh. There was never a time where he did not smile. ~ WE LOVE YOU DAD.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Rod’s family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com.
