BOONE, Iowa—Ronald Lester Stoll, son of Lester and Erma Coffey Stoll, was born May 20, 1944 in Story County, Iowa. He died on January 8, 2023 at Westhaven Community in Boone, Iowa at the age of 78 years.
Ronald graduated from the eighth grade on May 23, 1958 from St. Paul Lutheran School. On May 21, 1962 he graduated high school from Story City Community High School. After graduating high school Ronald attended Boone Junior College for two years. Ronald then attended the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California for 28 months graduating in 1987 as a Professional Photographer.
Ronald joined the Army National Guard of Iowa where he served for six years and was Honorably Discharged on September 18, 1973.
Ronald farmed for many years in Harrison Township, Boone, County, Iowa. He loved dogs but especially German Shepherds. He was an avid collector of Hallmark Christmas ornaments and dishes.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his special friends John and Mari Lynn Cain; Joshua Cain; several cousins; and his beloved dog Dayton.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 712 12th Street, Boone, Iowa with Rev. Jessten Heimer officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Mackey Cemetery, Boone County, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone.
