BOONE, Iowa—This year is the Centennial Celebration for the Ledges State Park and there are many programs and activities being planned that will allow the public to participate in the celebration. One of the focal points will be the park’s first custodian, Carl Fritz Henning. Park Manager Andy Bartlett presented a program called “Shepherd of the Hills” highlighting Henning’s story, complete with pictures. The program was presented at the Ericson Public Library Tuesday evening.
