According to the Boone Water Environment Weather Station, we received 3.9 inches of wet, heavy snow this weekend. So the City of Boone has announced that the snow ordinance will go into effect at 11:00 Sunday night for the business district only, allowing Public Works to remove the piles between lanes of travel. If your vehicle is parked on a city street in downtown Boone after 11 p.m. Sunday, it will be ticketed and towed.
