BOONE, Iowa—The second Saturday in May means it’s time to help postal carriers Stamp Out Hunger. Residents are invited to fill a bag with non-perishable food items which will be collected by the carriers, returned to the post office and then taken to local food pantries. Donations stay local for each post office. Remember to bag items up and set them out Saturday morning before your letter carrier.
