Supervisors Move Ahead on Ogden Shed

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors have move ahead on one of their high priority capital projects, replace the Boone County Maintenance Shed in Ogden. Wednesday, the board to approved accepting a bid with Sande Construction and Supply Company of Humboldt for $1,607,834.00. Sande was the lowest of three bids received for the project that will include the removal of the existing shed and the construction of a new building. The work will not begin until the spring of 2024. The board had budgeted recovery funds for the project. Already this week, 10Fold Architecture and Engineering of Ames, County Engineer Jonathan Bullock and Supervisor Bill Zinnel traveled to Madrid to begin the process of planning for the second project for the Madrid Maintenance Shed expected to come back to the board in 2024. The Boone Maintenance Shed will be the last one upgraded.
