DES MOINES, Iowa—On Monday, Rep. Phil Thompson (R-Jefferson) successfully floor managed his first bill in the Iowa House, unanimously passing Senate Joint Resolution 17 following floor debate.
Senate Joint Resolution 17 allows the motorcycle education organization, ABATE of Iowa, to host a children’s toy drive and sell commemorative memorabilia on the Capitol grounds in October 2019.
The bill passed unanimously by a vote of 94-0.
