The Madrid boys’ track team hosted a meet Tuesday, April 22.
The Tigers placed 3rd with 122 points, and Nevada won the meet with 157 points
Three relays were champions for Mardid,
The shuttle hurdle relay of Kinnick Grimm, Easton Halverson, Brody Buck and Will Atkinson won in 1:03.49
The 4×200-meter relay of Buck, Jacob Farrell, Maxwell Morman and Lokey Velky finished 1st in 1:34.74.
The sprint medley relay of Morman, Farrell, Jake Sawyer and Tyler Sonnefelt also were champions in 1:37.32.
The Tigers will run at Martensdale-St. Mary’s Thursday, April 24.
Additionally, the 4×100-meter relay has qualified for the Drake Relays this weekend in Des Moines.
Madrid will run in the preliminaries at 10:12 a.m. Saturday, April 26, and the finals are at 3:04 p.m. that afternoon.
