Two Hospitalized Following Accident Thursday

BOONE, Iowa—Two people were hospitalized following a two vehicle accident in Boone County Thursday. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department made this information available.

On May 22nd, 2025 at approximately 12:43PM Deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle personal injury accident at 216th Dr. and Jonquil Dr.

A Red 2012 Chevrolet Sonic being operated by Larry Mullin Jr., age 60 of Ogden, was traveling westbound on 216th Dr. A Silver 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup being operated by John Jones, age 78 of Boone, was entering 216th Dr. from a stop sign at Jonquil Dr. Mullin’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Jones’ vehicle. Both vehicles sustained significant damage during the accident, and caused 216th Dr. to be closed for a short time. Both Mullin’s and Jones were transported to the Boone County Hospital to be treated for injuries sustaining during the accident.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Boone County Communications Center, Ogden Police Department, Boone County Hospital Ambulance and the 3rd Crew Ambulance operated by the Boone Fire Department, Ogden First Responders, Ogden Fire Department, and Condon’s Service on scene.

There has been no update on the condition of the drivers involved.
