The Ogden cross country teams competed at the state qualifying meet Thursday, October 23, at Eagle Grove and had two boys qualify for the state tournament.
The Ogden boys placed 6th overall, led by Myles Tromblay, who earned 6th place with a time of 17:16, qualifying for the state meet.
Thomas Bergstrom also qualified, placing 9th in 17:34, and setting a personal record.
Other top Ogden boys finishers were:
- Landon Abbott – 17th, 18:01
- Bek Anderson – 42nd, 19:10 (PR)
- Henry Russo – 61st, 19:47 (PR)
- Elias Engelmann – 95th, 24:05
- Ryder Graham – 99th, 27:57 (PR)
The Class 2A boys run Friday, October 30, at 2:45 p.m. at Fort Dodge.
The Ogden girls placed 8th overall.
Leading the Bulldogs was Sophie Seligman, who finished 38th with a personal record time of 23:29.
She was closely followed by Elyse Fisher in 39th, also clocking 23:29.
Senior McKenzie Spencer ran a season-best 23:52, placing 44th.
Other Ogden finishers included:
