BOONE, Iowa—The drivers of two vehicles involved in a collision late Thursday afternoon on Highway 17 and Highway 30 were treated for injuries at the Boone County Hospital. The initial report from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said that 20 year old Emma Mohr of Ames was stopped at the stop sign on the Westbound Highway 30 exit and was turning south onto Highway 17 when her vehicle was struck by one driven by 62 year old Angela Weeks of Boone. Weeks was Northbound on Highway 17 when she collided with Mohr’s vehicle. Both were transported by Boone County Ambulance.
The accident is being investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department. They were assisted by the Boone Fire Department, Fire and Rescue, the Boone County Ambulance, Condon’s Service.
