BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Road Department has announced that the Union Pacific Railroad is continuing to do crossing maintenance in Boone County this week. The Railroad has closed the crossing at “V” Avenue through Thursday and plans to close XL Avenue from Thursday through Saturday. Both crossings are in eastern Boone County just west of Ames, Iowa.
