MADRID, Iowa—National Public Lands Day was last Saturday. The Ledges State Park celebrates with other state parks with a statewide Volunteer Day. The volunteer event at Ledges over the past couple of years has been the removal of invasive species. In total 45 volunteers worked for 2 hours each to help continue that project. Andy Bartlett, Manager of the Ledges State Park talks about it on Tuned In and what else is coming up in October.

Friends of the Ledges member Karl instructs the group on how to identify some of the common invasive shrubs.
