The City of Boone has issued a Snow Ordinance for the city, effective at 11:00 p.m. This is for both residential and business districts. Any vehicles parked on city streets after 11:00 p.m. will be subject to receiving a ticket and being towed.
Boone Public and Parochial Schools will be dismissing two hours early today, Thursday, February 16th.
There will be a 1:30 PM early dismissal for Madrid Schools. There will be no PM preschool, activities, practices or Kids Club.
Ogden Community Schools will have a two-hour early out today.
United Community Schools will have a two-hour (1:10pm) Early Dismissal Due to Inclement Weather, No Afternoon Kids Club, No Evening Activities.
Boone boys basketball at Webster City tonight is cancelled.
Class 2A boys district basketball Ogden at South Central Calhoun is postponed to Friday night (2/17) at 8:30 PM.
Class 1A boys district basketball Collins-Maxwell at Madrid is postponed to Friday night (2/17) at 7:00 PM.
Trinity Lutheran Church activities are canceled tonight. Due to the early school dismissal, Trinity Lutheran School will not have afternoon preschool or after school care.
Tonight’s Friends of the Ledges meeting is being postponed to next Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30pm. This is due to the heavy snowfall and poor road conditions today.
