DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated information on severe weather in Iowa. The early morning update includes severe storms possible Friday morning. Damaging straight line winds and brief tornadoes are the primary threat. Additional redevelopment possible east near midday.
