DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated forecast information concerning multiple rounds of heavy rainfall expected this week. Persistent heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding and eventually river flooding. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Monday afternoon with all hazards possible across central Iowa. The active weather pattern will begin today and continuing through much of next week.
