DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning hazardous weather. A Red Flag Warning for fire weather conditions and High Wind Watch/Warning for strong winds are in place across the state. Fire weather conditions exist in central to southwest Iowa, with high winds across northern and central Iowa. High winds may be possible in portions of southern Iowa. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon-9pm Thursday, High Wind Warning North and Central Iowa, as well as High Wind Watch for Southern Iowa is in place from 10pm Thursday – 10am Friday.
