DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has released the latest information concerning the potential for flash flooding and severe weather conditions this afternoon and overnight. Activity will include severe thunderstorms capable of damaging wind gusts, large hail, tornadoes, and heavy rainfall which could cause flash flooding. Timing will be late this afternoon into tonight for much of Iowa with the highest risk over southern Iowa.
