DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning the extreme heat and humidity and several chances for severe storms. Extreme heat will continue across much of Iowa today and the south & southeast part Iowa Thursday. The severe storm potential will be in the northern half of Iowa late this afternoon-tonight and much of Iowa on Thursday.
