DES MONES, Iowa—The National Weather Service office in Des Moines is providing updated information about hazardous weather conditions expected today. There will exist the potential for severe storms, a red flag warning , and strong winds.
The severe storms are not expected until later this afternoon and evening, with most east of the I35 corridor. Strong gusty winds will be in place today and tomorrow.
