DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information about heat the potential for storms affecting Iowa. A Heat Advisory will be in effect for all of central Iowa from 1 PM to 8 PM Today and 1 PM to 8 PM on Monday due to heat indices near or exceeding 105 to 110 degrees both days. Few strong to severe storms will be possible in far northwest Iowa to along and north of the Iowa/Minnesota border on Monday evening into early Tuesday morning.
