DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information about the expectations for thunderstorms and heat for the 4th of July and this first week of July. One round of thunderstorms is occurring this morning, the second will redevelop this afternoon. Heat indices over 100° will occur Monday and Tuesday.
