DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated projections for severe weather this evening. Severe weather with strong winds and heavy rainfall are possible this evening. The severe weather risk will begin in the west this evening and will track to the east overnight. Much of Iowa could be affected. The heat/humidity risk continues for central and southern Iowa, but the highest risk is southern Iowa.
