DES MOINES< Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided the latest information concerning the hazardous winter weather expected today into Friday. There will be a band of heavy snow affecting parts of Iowa, with a narrow strip of 6-8″ accumulations possible. The track will be over portions of western, central and north central, into eastern Iowa. This storm will affect Iowa this afternoon and evening into early Friday morning.
