DES MOINES, Iowa—The weekly fuel report by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship showed that the price of Natural gas rose 28 cents this week, currently at $3.29/MMbtu.
Crude Oil Summary
- The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $4.45 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $35.82.
- Brent crude oil fell $4.54 and currently priced at $37.41.
- One year ago, WTI crude sold for $55.54 and Brent crude was at $61.05.
Motor Fuels
- As of Thursday, Oct. 29, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.02 across Iowa according to AAA.
- Prices fell 2 cents from last week’s price and 41 cents lower than one year ago.
- The national average on Thursday was $2.15, down 1 cent from last week’s price.
- Retail diesel prices in Iowa held steady this week with a statewide average of $2.17.
- One year ago, diesel prices averaged $2.84 in Iowa.
- The current Iowa diesel price is 20 cents less than the national average of $2.37.
- Wholesale ethanol fell 6 cents, currently at $1.39.
- The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $1.09 for U87-E10, $1.18 for Unleaded 87 (clear), ULSD#2 is at $1.18, ULSD#1 is at $1.39, and E-70 priced at $1.48 per gallon.
Heating Fuels
- Propane prices rose 1 cent for a statewide average of $1.09 per gallon.
- Home heating oil was down 1 cent from last week, ending with a statewide average of $1.72 per gallon.
- Natural Gas prices rose 28 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and currently priced at $3.29/MMbtu.
